Q: What is a Township Trustee?
A Trustee is a fiduciary who votes on issues before the Board. This is a part time position with a term of four-years. The current term ends in November 2020.
Q: What is the Board of Trustees?
The Board consists of a supervisor, clerk, treasurer and four trustees. All Board members have an equal vote on Township matters that come before them and have a term of four-years. The current term ends in November 2020.
The Board as a whole makes the important decisions for the Township, including things like hiring staff, large purchases, new buildings, and so on. The Board also sets the budget to establish the spending for the following year.
The Board meets regularly on the first and third Tuesdays of the month, at Township Hall. The agendas are available on the Township website, or on the local cable channel.
Q: Why should I vote in the Primary Election?
The Primary Election is used to narrow down the candidates of each party to the number of positions available.
